8. User-Generated Content & Community Standards

8.1 Zero Tolerance Policy

You&Me has a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. By using the Service, you agree that you will not post, share, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that:

  • • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another's privacy
  • • Is vulgar, obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
  • • Promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
  • • Infringes any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any party
  • • Contains spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or phishing material
  • • Misrepresents your identity, professional background, or qualifications
  • • Is otherwise objectionable in our sole discretion

Violation of these standards may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination without notice.

8.2 Reporting Objectionable Content

You&Me provides an in-app mechanism for users to flag objectionable content or abusive behaviour. To report a user:

  • • Open the user's profile within the app
  • • Tap the menu icon (⋮) on their profile
  • • Select "Report" and provide a description of the issue

All reports are submitted immediately to our moderation team. We commit to reviewing and acting upon all reports within 24 hours of receipt. Reported content that violates our Community Standards will be removed and the responsible user will be ejected from the platform. You will receive a notification when your report has been reviewed.

8.3 Blocking Users

You&Me provides an in-app mechanism to block any user. When you block a user:

  • • They are immediately and permanently removed from your profile feed, matches, and all discovery surfaces
  • • They lose the ability to contact you or view your profile
  • • Our moderation team is automatically notified of the block, which contributes to our ongoing review of that user's account
  • • The block takes effect instantly without requiring a page refresh or app restart

To block a user, open their profile, tap the menu icon (⋮), and select "Block".

8.4 Content Filtering

You&Me employs automated and manual content moderation to filter objectionable material from the platform. Profiles and content that receive reports are automatically flagged and may be temporarily hidden from discovery while under review. Our moderation team reviews flagged content and takes appropriate action including content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

8.5 Developer Responsibilities

You&Me Inc. commits to the following moderation standards:

  • • All reports of objectionable content or abusive users will be reviewed within 24 hours
  • • Content confirmed to violate our Community Standards will be removed immediately upon confirmation
  • • Users found to be in violation will be permanently ejected from the platform
  • • Our admin team has the ability to remove any content and ban any user at any time
  • • Banned users are immediately logged out and blocked from re-registering with the same credentials

9. Terms of Service — Key Provisions

By creating an account and using You&Me, you explicitly agree to the following:

  • • You are at least 18 years of age
  • • You will not post, share, or transmit objectionable content or engage in abusive behaviour toward other users
  • • You acknowledge that there is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on this platform
  • • You understand that violations will result in content removal and account termination
  • • You consent to our moderation team reviewing reported content and taking action as described in Section 8
  • • You agree to our full Privacy Policy and all community standards outlined therein

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites and services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services before providing your information.

11. Children's Privacy

You&Me is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your home country. By using You&Me, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may include countries without data protection laws equivalent to those in your home country.

13. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

When you make a purchase through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. We do not store or have access to your credit card or payment information.

We receive confirmation of your purchase from Apple in order to activate your subscription features within the app. This confirmation includes a transaction ID and receipt data used solely to verify your subscription status with our servers.

13.1 Subscription Data

We store your subscription status (active/inactive) linked to your account to provide access to paid features. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

13.2 Data Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, all personal data associated with your account, including subscription records, is permanently removed from our servers.

14. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

14.2 Payment & Billing

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Prices are in USD and may vary by country or region as set by the App Store.

14.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price as the original purchase.

14.4 Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to:

iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
